The 2/3~3/4 of the head to the back of the nest mouse is tan, the tip of the hair is black, and the base of the hair is dark gray. The buttocks at the back end 1/3~1/4 are rusty brown.

The snout and between the eyes of the brood mouse are brownish yellow, and the ventral surface is dirty gray white , the tips are white. The cheeks, sides of the body and the outside of the limbs are yellowish-gray. The inside and outside of the ears are densely brownish-yellow, the back of the front feet is pale yellow, and the back of the hind feet is brownish-yellow. The top of the tail is brown-black and the bottom is dirty white. The tail hair is underdeveloped, and the back of the tail tip is bare.
