The Chinese black rabbit has black ears, black eyes, black claws, black fur, black skin, and black tail. Black and shiny, of medium build. It has strong adaptability, resistance to roughage, rapid growth in the early stage, and strong disease resistance.

Chinese black rabbits have strong female nature and high reproductive rate, with an annual output of 5-8 litters , the average litter size was 8.5, with a maximum of 15. The survival rate of weaned rabbits was over 90%.
