Unlike the glass catfish, the pixie fish was originally produced in the Amazon basin of Latin America, and is mostly found in the flowing waters of the southeastern region of Brazil. Elf fish is more suitable to be raised in water with a temperature of 22-30 ℃, and soft water with weak acidity is the best, which is more in line with the environmental requirements of its origin.

Like most rat fish, elf fish only live in the middle and lower parts of the water Activity. When the breeding season comes, it will lay the eggs on the inner wall of the fish tank, and it will take about two days to hatch the fry in the water temperature of 24-27 ℃.
The elf fish has a suction cup at the snout, and its small and slender body can enter some narrow spaces. It will often use the suction cup to suck up various mosses and algae attached to the aquarium. One thing is different from other panmouth catfish, you don't have to worry about raising the elf fish and it will eat up the water plants in the tank, which reduces many unnecessary troubles.
