The calamus is a fish in the lower waters. It has a strong body, is not demanding on water quality, does not choose food, and is easy to raise. However, the flamingo fish has a more irritable temperament, and it rampages in the aquarium, attacking other fish, and swallowing small fish, so it is not suitable to be mixed with other fish.

The suitable temperature for calamari is 20-30℃, and the optimum growth temperature is 23-25℃. The requirements for breeding water are: hardness 6-8, pH 6.5-7.5, and water temperature 25-27°C.
