White-lipped mud turtles are nocturnal and omnivorous. Foods include fruits, seeds, petals, plant shoots, aquatic insects, spiders, snails, worms, small fish, crustaceans, amphibians (mostly tadpoles), small mammals, reptiles, and carrion.
