1. Do not buy food with additives and preservatives from the supermarket. These things can pose unpredictable dangers to chinchillas.
2. Don't give chinchillas fresh vegetables and fruits. Foods that are too high in moisture can cause chinchillas to have diarrhea, and only apples can eat a small amount of fresh.
3. Don't give chinchillas cooked melon seeds. The reason why chinchillas eat melon seeds is because melon seeds contain linoleic acid needed by chinchillas, which is good for chinchilla hair, but the linoleic acid in the cooked melon seeds has long been exhausted, and the cooked melon seeds that many people eat contain salt and additives. Salt is easy to cause chinchillas to lose hair, and the additives are not suitable for chinchillas, so we have to give chinchillas raw sunflower seeds, 10 or a few grains a day are enough.
4. Don't give chinchillas soybeans. Soybeans are eaten into the belly of chinchillas and absorb a lot of water in the intestines, which will make chinchillas feel bloated, which may lead to intestinal obstruction in severe cases, which is life-threatening.
5. Don't give chinchillas peanuts. The oil content of peanuts is too high, which is not suitable for the gastrointestinal tract of chinchillas.
