What

Ct. flea

The fleas that attack dogs and cats are mainly Ct. First flea and Ctenophora felis. They cause dermatitis in dogs and cats and are also carriers of D. canis. C. felis is mainly parasitic on cats and dogs, while C. canis is limited to dogs and wild canids. The individual size of Ctenophora fleas varies greatly. Female fleas are long, sometimes more than 2.5 mm, and male fleas are less than 1 mm. Fleas are small, brown, narrow-sided insects that can be found on the body surface. The eggs are white, small, spherical.

The flea lays its eggs on the dog's coat. The eggs fall off the coat and hatch in 2-4 days under suitable environmental conditions. It has three larvae. First- and second-instar larvae feed on plant and animal matter, including the excrement of adult fleas. The third instar larvae only make cocoons and do not eat. The cocoon, which is oval in shape and not easy to spot, usually attaches to the dog's litter and pupates a few days later, a total process that takes about two weeks to develop from egg to adult flea. Temperature and humidity have a great impact on fleas. In the case of low temperature and high humidity, fleas can survive for more than a year without food, while in high temperature (dry) and low humidity conditions, fleas die after a few days. Dogs and cats are infected by direct contact or by entering a place with adult fleas.

Control methods:

To treat flea infestation, dog collars (the main ingredients are synergistic pyrethroids, pyrethroids, amino This method is simple and reliable, and the efficacy can last for 2 to 4 months, but the irritating smell is large.

The current effective treatment method is the use of Fureen.
