Food suitable for Chow Chow puppies:
⑴Puppy-specific food: such as dog foodand canned food;
⑵Calcium: Supplement calcium products with high natural content such as super calcium to promote the development of puppies' bones and teeth,
⑶ Milk powder for puppies : There are special puppies and goat milk powder,
⑷ egg yolk: the advantage of egg yolk is that it is not only rich in protein, but also contains easily digestible and absorbable vitamin A, calcium and minerals,
⑸ Vitamins and minerals: For puppies with poor constitution, consider supplementing some vitamins and minerals. There is 7S silver vitamin for puppies for pets.
⑹ Meat: Although cows, pigs, chickens, etc. are good food, when feeding puppies, it is advisable to choose the part without fat, because fat is easy to deteriorate. But feed cooked meat, not raw meat!
Feeding frequency: After a Chow Chow is one year old, although many people still feed it twice a day, once a day is actually enough. Feeding times should be as fixed as possible. For feeding once a day, it is recommended to feed at night, because most animals like to lie still and sleep after feeding.
Grooming: It is very important to use the correct tools to groom frequently. All you need is a steel-toothed comb, ideally about an eighth of an inch apart. Let the Chow Chow stand on a firm, non-slippery surface.
First brush the fur with low salt water to remove dust etc. If the fur is messy it should be very gentle. Then hold the bristles with one hand and brush gently, piece by piece, toward the head. From top to bottom: Start at the top, systematically combing towards the tail, remembering: Gently comb through the chest and under the body. Because the hair behind the ears and under the forelegs is particularly prone to tangles, special care must be taken when grooming. The short leg hair is also combed with a comb, remember to brush the hair on the legs upwards. Check that the ear is clean and, if necessary, wipe it gently with a damp towel. Make sure to dry your eyes. The final job is to brush the hair from the tail towards the head, which adds to the chow's charm.
Bathing: Unless there is a specific reason, your Chow Chow should not be bathed too often. It is best to bathe the Chow Chow no more than two to three times a month. The coat of an adult Chow should be rough to the touch. Bathing too much will carry the oil away, making the fur soft to the touch.
? Prevent dogs from being picky eaters: The most important thing when feeding is to give it ten minutes to eat. If it exceeds ten minutes, it will be taken away at a rate. Don't be afraid of the Chow Chow being hungry, and don't be soft-hearted, unless you have to worry about it for the rest of your life.
