Let's take a look at the experiences shared by owners of Samoyed dogs.
When the Samoyed puppies first arrived at my house, their limbs were very soft. According to the information I saw, the main reason was that they were relatively small but also had malnutrition. I looked through their fur and found that there were a lot of lice. Such a small Samoyed can't use Frain. Fortunately, I had a bottle of Jeff's colorless and odorless lice killing water suitable for cats and dogs of any age. problem solved. So remind everyone that if you encounter similar problems in the future, you must first look at the body and age of the Samoyed puppy before deciding on the use of medicines. Do not give strong medicines to Samoyed puppies that are too small.
After I rubbed the lice water on them, I dried them with a hair dryer, in order to prevent colds. In the days to come, sometimes they will step on their own or play in their own NN. I will also rinse them, but the speed is very fast. After rinsing, wipe them with a large towel immediately, and then dry them with a hair dryer or until they are used up. The large towel wicked away the moisture from them. What I want to remind here is that not all Samoyed puppies can take a bath, but be very quick and careful. That kind of rubbing and wiping isn't necessary because they're not that dirty, and proper lukewarm water cleaning is fine.
Samoyed puppies who have been breastfed may not be interested in plastic pacifiers at first, and the taste of breast milk is also different from pet formula milk. Will refuse to suck on the pacifier. These two Samoyeds refused to take a pacifier the first day they arrived at my house. There is no way, I chose to use a syringe and slowly push it into his mouth. It must be slow, otherwise it will be dangerous to inhale into the trachea. Be patient. As long as he is willing to drink, keep feeding until his belly bulges slightly. Can stop. The purpose of this is to let them slowly get used to the taste of formula milk, and promote them to adapt, and they will automatically feed on the pacifier next time.
It's hard to say about food intake. But from my personal experience and from the experts I consulted, one criterion that works is a slight bulge in the belly. This is a very intuitive concept, relatively easy to grasp. The exact birthday of the two Samoyeds I raised is unknown. They only opened their eyes after I raised them for more than a week. The stomach will be emptied, and the stomach will be noticeably smaller. For a week after I opened my eyes, I fed every three and a half hours, then slowly changed to every four hours. Until the time of feeding dog food, it becomes once every 6 hours.
