Dogs are now the most common pets that people keep, and they have even become family members. When parents take care of their pet dogs, they are most afraid of their own pets. When the pet is sick, it is even more terrifying than being sick yourself. So how can we find out that the dog is sick in time?
1. Body temperature measurement method: first coat the thermometer with a lubricant such as Vaseline, and fix its head by the family, so that When the dog settles down, the owner pulls up its tail, puts the thermometer into the belly door, and takes the thermometer out of the anus in about a minute. The normal dog temperature is 38-38.9 degrees Celsius, but the smaller and more active dog, the body temperature is actually higher than normal. If your dog is a large dog or is not very active, its body temperature will be higher than normal. If the body temperature is higher or lower than normal, and the body temperature does not return to normal, it may be sick.
2. Eye examination: Clear and bright eyes are a sign of dog health. Although many dogs have some spills from the corners of their eyes, as long as they are cleaned up more, the spills will be avoided. It will disappear naturally, but if you find that it is often clawing its eyes or blinking constantly, it may be that there is a problem with its eyes and it feels pain.
If the cause of the dog's eye pain is that something gets into the eye, it can be wiped off with eye wash. First open its eyes, soak the linen bandage with eyewash, and then wipe the eyes, remember not to wipe with cotton balls, because cotton wool is easy to stick to the eyes, which will make it very uncomfortable. In addition, the movements should be as gentle as possible when cleaning, so as not to injure the eyeballs, but if the situation still improves, the only option is to seek help from the veterinary clinic.
3. Ear inspection: When the dog's ears are opened for inspection, they should be found to be clean and light pink inside. There is no odor; but if it is found to be shaking its head frequently, scratching its ears, and there is a foul odor in the ears, it may have scratched its ears.
At this time, it should be removed with special ear-scratching water. First pour the ear-washing water into the ear, then press the ear gently, and then the dog will shake his head to remove the excess ear-washing water. Shake it out and finally wipe off the dirt with cotton. At the beginning, it should be cleaned every day until the ear scratching is completely removed, and this process can be carried out once every other day; however, because the oil in the ear also has a certain protective effect on the dog's ears, when it is over-cleaned, the oil will also be washed together. Go, so clean in moderation.
