Should German Shepherds be trained to bite?
German Shepherds are excellent working dogs and are often used as police dogs, drug detection dogs, and guards. Dogs, etc., to be competent for these positions, German Shepherds need to be trained to bite.
How to train a German Shepherd to bite:
1. The German Shepherd's bite training mainly requires that the German Shepherd can bite the designated person according to the password and gesture, and also requires the dog to bite. Active and brave when biting, quick and agile movements, obedient to commands, and able to bite the opponent's right hand accurately. Passwords used: qiu, bite, release. Gestures used: Point your right hand at the bite target.
2. Choose a relatively clean training ground, and the trainer should dress up in advance and take protective gear to hide in a suitable position in the training ground. Then the trainer leads the dog to the training ground, and at a distance of about 20 meters from the hidden place of the trainer, the dog sits in the direction where the trainer appears. The trainer takes a half-squatting position, gives the dog the attention password, and points the right hand to the direction of the dog's attention. At this time, the helper can make random sounds in the concealed place first to arouse the alertness of the dog. When the dog is vigilant, it will hold a cloth bag or soft tree strip, appear from the hidden place, and approach the dog with sneaky movements. The distance from the dog is selected according to the size of the dog's guts. If you are timid, stay away from it, and try to arouse the hatred of the dog, so that the dog dares to bark and pounce. While the trainer is teasing the dog, the trainer pulls the dog to stay still, continuously issues the attack password, and encourages the dog to attack the trainer, but at this time the dog should not be allowed to chase and bite the trainer. The purpose is to make the dog pump up. After the two sides had been in such a stalemate for a period of time, the trainer began to make concessions in fear of losing as appropriate, and gradually retreated to the original hiding place. When the trainer retreats, the trainer can lead the dog tail to chase, and encourage the dog with the attack password, and then bring the dog back to the original place until the dog can't see the trainer. After the dog has calmed down a little, continue training according to the above method. Through this method, the dog should have a strong hatred for the trainer that appears, and show the performance of taking the initiative to attack and eager to bite the trainer. Such as swooping, barking, gnashing of teeth, tireless and so on.
3. Taking advantage of the time when the dog rests in the kennel, the trainer disguises himself as a stranger, approaching the dog with strange and panicked movements or making noises from far to near. Get the dog's attention and tease it up to five meters from the kennel. The initial purpose is to arouse the alertness of the dog. After several times of teasing, when the dog can be vigilant or bite the trainer, the trainer can begin to feint the dog to stimulate the dog's hatred and active defense response. This training can be carried out two to three times a day, until the dog sees the trainer appearing, can express in the kennel barking, swooping, and attempting to rush out of the kennel to attack.
