1. Morphology of Nepenthes

Nepenthes hook-lipped is a climbing plant with bifurcated stems up to seven meters in length, cylindrical to triangular in shape. The whole plant is rosette-shaped, and the leaves are papery without petioles. The shape of the leaves is more diverse, linear, lanceolate, oval. The leaves on rosettes or short stems are oblanceolate to oblong-oval in shape and can grow up to 7.5 cm in length and 2.5 cm in width. The ends of the leaves are relatively sharp and do not show a shield shape. The roots of the leaves envelop the veins, giving the illusion of the veins passing through the leaves.

2. Habits of Nepenthes hook-lipped

N. hook-lipped is a tropical carnivorous plant endemic to Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is mainly distributed in the eastern part of Central Sulawesi Province (including most of the eastern peninsula), and a few are distributed in the Minahasa Peninsula. Specifically, Mount Lumut, Mount Poka Pindjang, Mount Roroda Timbu, Mount Sojol, Mount Tambusisi and Mount Tomongkobae. The altitude distribution ranges from 1400 to 2500 meters. Nepenthes hook-lipped can be terrestrial or epiphytic. It is found in lowland and highland montane mossy forests and grows on ridges and summits with shrubby vegetation. Such native places have high relative humidity and are often partially shaded. Occasionally, natural hybrids with N. glabrous and N. tentaculata occur. In December 2006, Li Gan first reported the discovery of the natural hybrid of N.

3. Planting of N. hook-lipped

The planting of N. hook-lipped is similar to other pitcher plants. Don't water too frequently, pigs don't like the soil too wet , When watering, it should be thoroughly watered. There should be overflowing water at the bottom of the pot. If there is a water tray in the flowerpot, it is best to remove it, because the pig needs the root system to breathe, and the water at the bottom of the pot is not good. Avoid sun exposure in summer. The sun at 4 o’clock, do not spray water in the sun, keep warm in winter, pigs are very afraid of cold, it is best to keep the temperature above 10 degrees, the location should be placed in a humid, bright and astigmatic location, do not move all the time. That's all, nothing else.
